Our Purpose

ENHANCING CHAMOIS COMFORT

PEARL iZUMi has a long history of chamois innovation. It started with the first synthetic chamois which we constructed from bio-suede in 1983. To this day, our proprietary chamois are still manufactured by our long-term Italian partners. Our current line features three levels of chamois, each designed using pressure-mapping technology to identify where more support is needed and constructed with material that moves with you.

WOMEN'S DROP TAIL BIB

Our company is powered by passionate female cyclists who demand both comfort and performance. Experienced riders know bibs outperform shorts by keeping the chamois in place and eliminating a compressive waistband. But the challenge of removing them for a bathroom break often dissuades women from using them. That's why PEARL iZUMi created a drop-tail women's cycling bib to solve this problem. After refining the design over a half-dozen iterations, our Women’s PRO Bib Short might just be the perfect solution. Its seamless design provides all the support of traditional bibs while eliminating clips, zips, and snaps, and allows for easy adjustment.

bioviz™ safety

Even more so than performance or comfort, safety is paramount when it comes to cycling. Which is why PEARL iZUMi created BioViz™, a design strategy that relies on fluorescent colors and strategically placed reflective markers ensuring cyclists are seen from at least 100 meters away, day or night.
